Jo Sutton
Hello!
As a Geology BSc graduate from the University of Leicester, I have always loved Science. During my undergraduate degree I participated in an outreach programme, working with local schools to deliver STEM sessions to underprivileged pupils and this was when I discovered my love of education!
I went on to gain a PGCE Secondary Science: Chemistry (with English as an Additional Language) degree from the University of Worcester with a view to becoming a Secondary teacher. Following my degree, I was offered a position as a full-time teacher in a local school but after the first year I realised mainstream education wasn't for me. I wanted to be able to work with students on a one-to-one basis in order to truly personalise their learning experience and ensure that I could improve their confidence and boost their attainment!
This was why I founded Sutton Science and I haven't looked back since! I specialise particularly in teaching Chemistry and Physics up to A Level but I also enjoy teaching all 3 Sciences at GCSE level and supplementary Maths tuition with some students.
